Broad-Scale Spatial-Temporal Models of Rain Rate Variation

RAINMAP was an EPSRC funded network that aimed to foster communication and collaboration between the diverse communities interested in developing and applying models of rain rate variation to a wide range of engineering problems. The network was initiated by Kevin Paulson, Prof. Anthony Illingworth and Christian Onof; and is coordinated by Angela Vernon who should be the first point of contact.

The final report for the RAINMAP project can be found here.

FINAL BUSINESS

Dr Harry Pavlopoulos from the Athens University of Economics and Business, who reported at several meetings on the development of spectral –multiscaling models, has produced a report on the development which can be found here.

Paul Baxter has written a report on RAINMAP and the 87th Annual Meeting of the American Meteorological Association (AMS), San Antonio, Texas, 14 - 18 January 2007, with a list of intereting papers and possible colaborations. Follow this link to read the report
